A bit about me!
This might be a bit embarrassing, but I still have all my stuffed animals since I was a kid. Before my sister was born, those were my closest friends. (And I wasn’t in short supply of living, breathing human ones.) My parents would find me creating and embodying a dozen personalities and backstories. All to say, they didn’t really know what to do with me... so they put me in acting class. South Coast Repertory became my second home for the next ten years of my life. At the age of eight, I was reciting Shel Silverstein and dancing to Sound of Music in a dress my Ah Ma made for me. By the time I turned 18, I was acting in a world premiere and producing plays that I wrote.
Six years later, I left all my fluffy fake friends behind (except for my stuffed hippo, Forgotten) and moved to NYC to study drama. My training at Playwrights Horizons Theater School and Atlantic Acting School has developed my empathy, clarity and nuance in my artistry. As a Taiwanese American actor and playwright, I’m determined to create spaces where we can be bold, expansive and imaginative.
What I’m working on right now…
