In Bloom
directed by Clark Worden
with Kaylee Ardinger as "Elise” and Abigail Coleman as “Camille”
produced at Playwrights Horizons Theater School
My first play was an adaptation of Sleeping Beauty, which I wrote and produced in my neighborhood park at age 12. Although an unsuccessful run, this was the spark of what became an addicting passion to what I now deem as the love of my life. I co-founded a production company that was part of my high school’s thespian troupe called Black Box Productions. Through Black Box, I wrote and produced two original plays that capture the essence of my artistry. With my playwriting, I am interested in interrogating the facets of identity, the complexity of relationship and the various ways language transforms the human experience into something resonant, rhythmic and vibrant.
